This striking wire artwork is one of a series of pieces that I have created in my studio in Southwest England. My sculptures and artworks are inspired by spirals in nature, such as a curled up frond of a fern, whirlpools and nautilus shells. The intricate wire sculptures are even more beautiful when light catches the surface of the wire. I methodically wrap and weave fine copper wire strands (which has an enamelled black surface) around a hand formed wire structure, to create a flowing piece of art. This particular piece can be wall mounted or freestanding, as it is in a box frame, therefore it can be placed on a shelf. It can easily fit in to most spaces and very easy to clean. All of my sculptures are unique, I never create two the same.
