Submerging VII
Submerging VII
Inspired by the ethereal and fragile nature of ocean ecosystems, Submerging VII invites the viewer to pause and observe. With every intentional twist and turn of the wire, I have sought to capture the continuous flow and gentle currents of marine life. The piece is safely housed under a glass dome, a vessel that both protects the wirework and acts as a frame for a suspended moment in time. Because of its transparent encasing, Submerging VII is never entirely static; as natural light shifts and falls across the glass, the wirework casts moving shadows that bring the sculpture to life.
